You may have seen it already. It had its moment of fame a few days ago. WRX STi does a complete 360 degree spin as it overtakes a slow moving vehicle and then continues on its merry way.
YNN says half a foot to 10 inches

Looked like we had 4 inches on the ground when I started shoveling early this AM. Then as I took a shower and left for work the driveway was covered again. I'd say possibly an inch maybe two over what we got in the AM. It has stopped snowing now.
BTW, I mean't to ask you, any developments on the new Si? Hope you guys get it soon.

Volvos will brake for bicyclists with new detection technology
Volvo has just announced Cyclist Detection with full auto brake – a technology that detects and automatically applies a vehicle's brakes when a cyclist swerves in front of a moving car. The basic components of the system include a radar unit integrated into the front grille, a camera fitted in front of the interior rear-view mirror and a central control unit. The radar is tasked with seeing obstacles in front of the vehicle and calculating distance, while the camera is responsible to determine what the object is. The central control unit, with rapid processing capabilities, monitors and evaluates the situation.

Another one of these techno advances to compensate for a dolt at the wheel
I hate the way cars are becoming a design and engineering project to compensate for the lowest common denominator
What ever happened to just paying attention while you are driving.........
I have a huge problem with cyclists. All I hear from them is whining about how cars need to share the road with them, but then they pick and choose what laws they feel apply to them on the road.
You'd think the people who are going to come out much worse for wear when colliding with a 2-ton object would be much less cavalier about how they ride...
I know as a driver I have to watch out for cyclists because they seem to refuse to watch out for themselves, and I would hate my vehicle trying to overthing what I want to do
Sort of reminds me of your frustration with your TC... the vehicle is overriding what you want
Bottom line in my book is the more vehicles think for themselves the worse things are getting

HA!rry
