Default Moving to Florida-how to protect my S

So we will be arriving in Panama City from Seattle area in a few weeks. We have more cars than we can possibly expect to find garage spaces for. Already have two rental houses, I don't want to buy a house in Florida. We have been offered up a house literally 50 yards from the ocean on Tyndall AFB. The view is amazing. Problem is, no garage. One car port spot only. After reading on some forums i am growing pretty concerned about how to protect my cars. My S is a 2001 with 39k miles, and mint. I don't want to leave Florida in four years with a rusting piece of junk. Also got two BMWs that i'm kinda concerned about. Anyone have some useful advice on how to approach this? I can give up the house on the beach and find one with at least a two car garage...but i'd rather not.

I assume that even a high quality car cover is not going to give me the protection I need?

Thanks in advance.

I'll be living on base. Pretty secure so no worries about theft. My main concern is humidity and salt in the air corrosion, etc.

My car spent its first 6 years in Key West 50 ft from the water, as well as its whole life in FL, my undercarriage is rust-free.

Your biggest fear should be theft. North FL isn't bad compared to south FL, but it is still something to keep in mind.
As for being worried about weather, I second the storage unit idea above if you're still unsure about it. Plus it keeps the miles down if that's your secondary goal.

Hit the road for Florida on Monday. Loaded the S onto a trailer today. Getting shipped with a small shipping outfit on a relatively small track/trailer. Pretty sweet wrap job huh!? I'm thinking of giving up my day job and becoming a professional auto wrapper.

Very nice wrap job, sir. I shipped mine in a covered truck. Felt a little worried to hand the car over to a company I'd never done business with, but then they opened the back of the truck and I saw that my car was being loaded behind somebody's freaking Lancia Strata. I felt better.

Welcome to Panama City! Let me know if you want to meet up for a coastal drive when the rain stops.
