I have issues!! Just finished cleaning the basement from the storm and now I'm thinking of going for a ride. I'm going through withdrawal.

I tried to make it to the big apple, but all the roads to the George Washington Bridge were flooded. Hopefully the water recedes before tomorrow's commute.

Couple of questions...
  • Anyone recommend rain gear? I couldn't bike to work today because I didnt have the right clothing. I want to ride even in the rain. I didn't ride today and now I have the shakes!!!
  • Anyone ever try the Kinetic Rock & Roll trainer? Comments? I want to get one for when there is snow on the ground.

Thanks!

When I can't ride I use free weights to expend some energy.

Don't get a Kinetic Rock & Roll trainer. They sound great in concept, but from the research I've done is that after a year they end up leaning to one side. You're better off getting a standard trainer. Look at these reviews for additional info.

Commuted both directions all 5 days this week. (assuming I ride home this PM and there is no reason I shouldn't)

It's only a 64 mile week but ......... still better than driving a car or not exercising at all.

Wow, didn't realize there was a whole cycling section.

I'm in queens and I ride a while CAAD9 if you see me come by. My usual routes include the cunningham to alley pond part connections and also down the cross island path towards whitestone.
