this is the goal for me. not the car, since the car i chose for this purpose is the S2000. i love his passion and garage. def motivates me to keep on going with my project.

"horse power is something that looks great in a magazine article but suspension is what gets you around the track fast.."

best post in a long time ..

i love his mind set. ive been slowly setting up my basement as a work shop since its next to my garage. i will learn how to weld and fabricate.

2ks2knyc 01-24-2013 05:42 PM

A garage like that is my ultimate goal but just a tad bigger. I will have more toys lol. That car is amazing. I have always loved 911s but after owning an S and of course not being rich, I think I would now rather own 2 or 3 S2000s than one 911. I dream of the day I can pull out of my garage and take a nice supercharged s2000 to the track. :D

Really inspirational! California coast + Porsche... this guy is living the dream.

Edit: I think he is a member on s2ki (or was it Nasioc? :thinker: ).

Just watched it 3x in a row. lol

im gonna do the same thing with the with my S. its the one car i want to be good with and i think its a very rewarding car. dont get me wrong i still would love an NSX, but the S2 is so capable. its hard to justify even leaving it. its super easy to work on, parts are good and plentiful. plus its not too expensive. im gonna grow old with the S.
i may not have been the first owner but i will be the last.

Great video, thanks for the post.

"It's the last car I want to ever own. As a track car, as a weekend car, as a recreational car. To me, I want to keep devloping that one object ... perpetually."

Watched that last night. He's all over the Garage Journal website. I could totally do that with my garage BUT, the wife would be pissed about not having a spot in our garage.

I REALLY need to finish my garage. I've got a good start and TONS of cabinets, just need some electrical work, lighting, paint and flooring.

iLuveketchup 01-25-2013 05:41 AM

Can't stop watching it. :)

iamxpl 01-25-2013 05:49 AM

lol i watched it again. i started working on my garage just last month, finally got it cleaned out and what not. once it warms up i will put the epoxy down. since my garage is small i moved all my cabinets into the basement and will be building work benches. ill get an air compressor later on. its funny im nesting for my coming baby and my other baby (the s2000)im just lucky my wife supports my hobbies

One of the best car videos I've seen in a while, really makes me want to move to California and buy an older 911. :D

iamxpl 01-25-2013 09:11 AM

if you guys like that kinda stuff go on vimeo and check out the petrolicious channel. ive always loved the older porsche's i remember my mom buying me a late 70's porsche remote control car. it wasnt so much remote since it had a cable attached so i had to follow it. then i got to drive a 79 porsche turbo and man i was inlove and scared at the same time. i never dared to shift up to 4th gear. i cant believe how fast that car was and it was made in the 70's

iLuveketchup 01-25-2013 09:33 AM

Ya this video motivates me to do something with my life. lol

Haha exactly, me too. I was on Googlemaps looking at Buttonwillow and Willow Springs in relation to LA, then was looking at apartments, haha. Too cold in Jersey.

Do you think 911's can out handle the S?

dolsiac 01-25-2013 11:23 AM

Amazing video, and an amazing person. Every part if his ideology concerning cars is so cut and dry, yet probably the most genius in the end. Would like to see the times he is posting on that track in comparison to the other vehicles that race there.

2ks2knyc 01-25-2013 12:19 PM

So I go to check my Google Currents today and another article on this guy showed up ..

Stock for stock ? Which year 911? And I guess for it to matter it depends on the setting. Any car can be set up for.a certain track and driver. It takes a certain type of driver to driver a 911 and his particular car does weigh less and have been worked to suit his driving. Plus the 2400 curb weight already adds an edge.
