Pole will be under his A96 fitting a some autojumble clutch he got hold of for 10p.
Whilst wearing a cheap and nasty watch,
Harsh ... but probably true

I hope you've also got the mad looking bass unit to go with them?

And saying 'skeuomorphism'at every point he fails to reengage the thrust bearing.

Sadly I don't; having a Super Exciter would be rather cool!

Insofar as the MBP issue is concerned, Apple have form with motherboard issues. The first iMac had a power supply connection problem and the third generation G5 can be very problematic with the USB ports intermittently killing the display.

I have very limited experience of Mac' laptops;, My daughters both have MBPs which have thus far been OK.

It will be interesting to see how the latest MacBook lasts; I checked one out when in an Apple Store recently and they are incredibly thin. My initial reaction was it was as light as a first gen' iPad - and similar thickness.

We have one of those too ( and yes, i've had it in bits ) and it's the same thin cooling system as the failed ones. They also get bloody warm when you run Windows in standalone mode on them, less so in Bootcamp but are fine in OSX. I can only assume that there is some serious throttling going on in OSX or .... and it's a valid point, OSX may just be better optimised and less resource heavy and that's how they get away with making them so thin.

I'm also not covinced that missing out ETH ports is a good idea, especially when it means attaching a clunky USB ETH port via the Thunderbolt port and no DVD either - but you can attach an external one ..... call me old fashioned but i want all my gubbins inside the case, not outside the case as losable addons

Start using it in anger and they still get too hot for my liking.

They could have made it like iOS and removed multi-tasking?

They do seem 'too thin'

My Dell XPS is pretty robust but its a lot thicker than the new macbooks. I'm not sure, given the price and my casual attitude to giving a feck, that i'd want to take one anywhere
