Neither am I. Strangely some people seem to have placed him on the pedestal along with Diana (at the time of her death). Perhaps it would be prudent to wait a few years for the full unsanitised version of his life to emerge?

I don't see him as on a pedestal. People were shocked and saddened and wanted to say good about the dead. I neither laud nor condemn him. I see a fallible human being who died young and under achieved. God knows there are few enough politicians alive that seem like human beings and act that way. Now there is one fewer in this world: whether or not you want to 'wait for the full unsanitised version' to emerge. I just felt sadness at this life passing.

What he might have achieved but for his addiction. He would never have contemplated a Tory coalition. An unintended consequence?
