Default Sir Christopher Lee R.I.P.

Died on Sunday aged 93. BBC story here.

Whether it was Lord Summerisle, Dooku or Dracula, we all have memories of the big fella ...

Ron Moody, best know as Fagan in the Oliver film, has gone too ...

I'm a great fan of the horror genre (when it was suspense before it became just a gore fest) so this is quite sad. Hammer House of Horror was a staple of Saturday night TV in my youth.

93 is not a bad innings.
Fear not though. The king of the vampires is immortal.

He was a fantastic actor, with a wide range of iconic roles that he made his own. He always struck me as a true gent as well

RIP

Sad news.

As Scaramanga - with the superfluous papilla, in The Man with the Golden Gun - he was über urbane.

I was rather sad Bond killed him; with his third nipple ("In some cultures it is seen as a potent symbol of sexual prowess and invulnerability"), a very cool Phang Nga Bay beach house rammed with Sony tech', a flying AMC Matador, a trick Junk AND Ms. Goodnight, he had pretty much all I ever wanted in life!

Yes, I enjoyed his work too. Particularly the Hammer stuff.

I will always remember a couple of chavs in a bar talking about star wars, one said "Christopher Lee, what did he play?" quick as a flash "I think he played Sudoku."
