I heard from some friend's who use to work for Sony that it was only the Japanese version that wouldn't have onilne capability but this new article makes it sound like it's going to include the US release as well. Online gaming will happen in a future installment in 2005.

Yep.. No online for the US one either. They are still working on the online functionality and it will release as GT4 B Spec later next year. Hopefully, they will let us bring all of our cars to that game. It would suck if they expect us to play the game again just to get the cars..

they won't screw it up, one of the team members of the Gran turismo project has a personal race-prepped s2000. (although they screwed up the a-pillar design in the game).
