Boring Ferrari Drivers
Is it just me or do you find that Ferrari drivers are never up for a burn. In fact I've never seen a Ferrari even go slightly fast. OK they're great cars to pose in but I thought they were driving mean machines, so what about that driving experience. At least the Corvettes I've come across are always game.
I might be a little afraid to hang it out if I was in a $175,000 car too. One little bump or scratch and you need a second mortgage. My co-worker has an old 308 he drives and he has calculated that everytime he pushes in the clutch it is like throwing a dollar bill away. Needless to say he doesn't do many clutch drop launches.
I had a couple of guys in a 355 Spyder throw me a rev once in the S2K. Didn't do a hard launch, but we went from about 20-60. They didn't pull as much as I thought they would (less than a car). Still the best sounding engine I've ever heard, even at cruise it sends chills up my spine.

I have run a few Ferraris with Scarlet. Two 355's come to mind. One with Sondra in the car...about 20 minutes after we met the first time. Needless to say, it was quite a hair raising experience for her...
I've had a couple of go's with Exotics... A Testarossa heading back from Road America, a 355 in Deerfield and most recently a guy in front of me wringing out an older 308 GTO. Even a Diablo on Lake Shore. But I've still never run a 911 or Boxster, other than the lot-rat who was driving a new water-cooled Carrera... man would he have been screwed! Let's see, you don't have a job anymore and you owe us $62k!
