everyone hates school
school before college is mostly pointless and worthless. i am a senior in high school and the major consensus is that all schools give you busy-work. i am talking about almost an hour of homework for each class ( i have 6) a day. it mostly consists of stupid packets and worksheets and dumb stuff. on top of going to school for 7 hours consecutively a day, it gets real tiring and i am burned out and suffer from senioritis. i can't wait till college next year because i will actually be interested in classes because they will pertain to my major and can be applicable in real life.
another vote for dont count on it. however, it will be better than HS. man, how do u have a s2k in high school. is it awesome or whatevers?
if ur gonna quote me, do the full quote. i said work and be critisized and not get paid for it.

i recently watched a parent ask their kid what they were studying at school, kid told him and the parent shuddered. seems like no one likes school (rare exceptions exist of course), but the common consensus is that school is good for you. is that because it acts like day care or are these sheep people just full of BS.
imo, school was a waste of over a decade of my life besides a couple of friends made.

if you are 18 and over, then school is an option for you. no one is pointing a gun to your head to continue to attend school. if you are under 18, then you are indirectly getting paid because your parents are paying for most if not all your living and recreation expenses. i mean try working full time as a 15 year old to pay your own way, without any education or work experience. you'll be in utter poverty. as for school being a waste of time, i disagree. sure geometry may seem like a drag, but you'd be surprised how often we utilize the knowledge we gain from that subject on a daily basis without even being aware of it. this is true with many of the other skills and knowledge we accummulate throughout our primary education. sure, in retrospect, it may seem like you can learn more or develop better as an individual if you were given the freedom to pursue your own interest while growing up as a kid, but reality is that most kids would end up wasting their time doing nothing and/or getting into trouble when given that freedom, cuz for the most part, kids do not know any better. primary education, for the most part, serve as a guidance to allow children to learn some of the fundamental and essential skills, knowledge, and social behavior that are beneficial and necessary for independent adult life. it is mandatory, for the most part, because kids cannot be trusted to value and pursue an education on their own. furthermore, most parents do not have the time, and the ability to educate their children and that is where formal educational institutions come in.

I disagree. Without school, I wouldn't be able to do what I do today.
I'm studying computer science. I learn more everyday on my own and from my job than I do in school.
