Who Reagan?

They had a public viewing in California and Washington DC. A state funeral and another in California.

Just because the media has orgasms over the deal doesn't mean it's excessive. Reagan was an immensely popular president. Give him his due respects. If you didn't like the man, then consider the fact he's gone now and the media and the population will forget him when the next shiny thing pops up.

I think Reagan had 3 funeral services. There was a state funeral service on Wednesday night, the national service on Friday afternoon, and the "private" or family service Friday evening.

I'd say a man can have as many funeral services as his friends, family, and co-workers want to hold in his honor. :)

Reagan always appreciated ordinary folks. Judging by the number of people that stopped by the Presidential Library, stood on the processional route in DC, and just stopped their car on 101 to get out and wave to the motorcade...it seemed like a lot of people wanted a chance to say goodbye.

That being said, I didn't see many people that looked like they were forced against their will to say goodbye to the president. Televisions and radios can be shut off if the viewer/listener desires.

Never enough.
