Default No more Quizno's for me

When I am paying $9 for a sandwich I DO NOT want to see the *chef* weigh the meat on a scale what a stingy franchise.

I would certainly have to agree. I know the owner of a few of the chain here in San Diego and I simply don't understand why people pay the money. He's an older Jewish gentleman, perhaps that has something to do with it. ( I am in no way bashing Jewish people of any kind )

Just goes to show: If you want a REAL sandwich, you go to a REAL deli....

I swore off the Q after the disturbing series of 'singing rat' ads. Not a good visual when I want fast food.

But the Turkey Avocado Ranch... I have to have it. It does hurt the wallet a bit though, if not my waist.

All chain eateries weigh or count the food that is served. Watch the people at Subway count the slices (thin!) of meat and cheese they put on a sandwich. Togos weighs the meat on a scale.

In today's competitive market, it is a matter of economics.

I'm with 73zero, if you want a real sandwhitch, go to a real deli. Sane price or cheaper and much better.

Sometimes you don't have a choice. In those instances what irritates me to no end is poor service. If I get poor service (attitude, being ignored etc.), I call the manager the next day. most of the time he or she is indifferent to my complaint. When that happens I never go to that location again. I also tell all my friends about the poor service received there.

Sorry for the rant, I've received a lot of bad service lately.

To give them the benefit of the doubt, maybe they weigh the piece of chicken to ensure you're getting a minimum weight. I very much doubt that they would cut a piece of if the piece they weigh exceeds the allowance.

I think it works both ways. If they weigh the food, no one can accuse them of shorting the customer. I'm sure if they are a little over, management wouldn't mind, but the scales keep the product consistent, and within economic tolerances.

Keep in mind the person you are dealing with is earning minimum wage and is following company policy.

They should however be polite. Also company policy.
