Figured I would post some random phone pics I had. Always interesting what others see in their daily travels and while out and about. I know there are other older threads out there but just wanted to start my own.
Opened my garage the other day and this little guy popped his head up. Looks like it was a little ring snake.
Met some old co-worker friends last night that I used to work with years ago. Beautiful Lambo in the parking lot.
Was with my family in Eureka Springs Arkansas last month and when I was walking around the block while waiting to eat at Ermilio's restaurant I stumbled upon some super old metal chairs we used to have when I was a little kid. They were from my grandmother and I honestly haven't seen this type of chair since I was in 4th grade. Had to snap a pic of them. Specifically the one on the right.
I think I posted this already somewhere but was out driving and had to stop and take a pic of my car during the sunset by this beautiful farm.
Nice, I had a black snake living around my shop (in the shop for a short bit) last year If it takes care of the mice I am fine with that!
Lets see .. random pics ...
Well cant scroll far without some random pic of the dog.
One of the locust trees around here that wants to kill you holding my beer at the disc golf course (in my trusty free koozie from SCCA Nationals in 2017)
lol! good dog pic. Yeah ours will be 16 this July so he is a lot calmer, especially with some hip issues. But he still goes on a puppy tear here and there and acts a fool. No longer tries chasing rabbits anymore unless they get really close Since moving here (no fenced in yard) he has come to terms with the deer sharing the yard. He just watches them now... one day came running up the yard with a group of them like he thought he was one of them.
This was from last year. We had 3 fawns living around the yard and this one was super curious of me in the garden. It kept showing up when I was out there and even walked almost up on the porch when we were sitting out there one night. The dog tried to make friends with this one but just pissed it off!
I like how it is looking at me like "so you put that big tall fence there ... would really be nice if you left that gate open.."
They were great to watch. When I first saw them 2 of them were lying in the grass early last spring when the grass was tall and I saw them when I started mowing. Then they kept popping up and following me around for a while until they grew up some.
Old 1960's Atlas 6" lathe I picked up last year. Disassembled everything and am 90% finished with restoration.
Big snowman I made a long time ago. Still have it on my phone
Hand forged knife I got from the knife shop in Silver Dollar City. Even though I make my own folding knives I have always wanted a fixed blade from that shop as far back as I can remember. I think I was 9 when I first fell in love with that shop. Doing some feather sticking to test the edge.

I get why you have that fencing. They eat everything green in my dads back yard. He can't keep anything nice there.
Very cool lathe and knife. I forgot if I asked you but have you seen Green Valley forge knives? Cy Swan is the guy and I think he is over 90 now, but still hand forging knives. I saw him interviewed on a yt channel and he is a pretty cool guy to listen to.
We spent 18 years up in MN and rarely could make a snowman. It was always cold enough up there the snow will not pack together other than maybe a very late spring snow (and at that point everyone is sick of the winter!). I do sorely miss being able to snowboard regularly in winter though.
This was taken April 15, 2018 at our place up there.
That is a lot of snow! Yeah that year in my pic the snow was wet and packed amazingly. Btw, my house faced north so that snowman was around in some form way after all the other snow melted. Regarding Cy Swan, I need to reach out to him and try to meet him while he is still around. Love hearing stories from older guys. Lot of wisdom and knowledge to learn from them.
