Reliability of 2001 Civic ??
 

Can anybody who owns a 2001 Civic LX or EX 4-door sedan help me with some opinions?
edmunds.com has many people rating high, but also a lot of people say they got lemons...
we are thinking of getting a used civic, but don't know if this is a safe bet...

my friend has a 2001 Civic Lx 4 door Auto...right now it has 30000 miles but feels like it ran for 5 years...it feels so flimsy...new gen civics arent just the same as they used to be...my advice is to get the 1999 civic ex

it looks better and better built overall

I have a 2001 Civic EX and I am happy with the car. The only problem I had was a rattle from the rear brake light which was quickly fixed by the dealer (under warranty).

All Hondas are reliable.

My Mom has a 2001 Civic EX coupe that has had no problems at all. I haven't noticed any quality issues with it. My civic is a '95 and still runs great.

One thing to remember is that people who have had problems are more likely to search out a place on the internet to bitch about it than people who haven't had problems are going to brag about it.
