Ahh yes... I went to a Jesuit school as well, coached special olympics, it was so rewarding that I ended up coaching multiple sports for a couple years. That was over 10 years ago, and I haven't done anything community service wise since... I tell myself I'm too busy - and I am busy, but I also know the rewards would be worth the time invested... in the last 6 months I've looked into the Big Brothers program but have not yet committed...

anyhow, what I guess I was getting at is I think your idea is great! I'd love one site I could go to to get some ideas of how I can help my community... if you could work with local organizers for community projects the power of such a site would be incredible... there's a lot of people who would be willing to donate a saturday to paint a school's classrooms for instance... VERY excited to see this site come to life!

 

It's nice to see someone trying to make a difference.
