Which way is the stock market headed today?
which way is the market going? I just saw that some of the airlines are laying people off due to only running at about 50% of their normal flights.
My guess is the market remains strong for a day or two, then down.? (i have no idea, and I am only guessing)
any guesses.
Scot (i don't have any $ to play with individual stocks anyway)

Just a guess but since the SEC lifted alot of regulations I think you will see businesses buying their own shares back at inflated prices for a few days. Making the market go up and then a steady decline. I'm hoping it goes up and stays up.
Is it just me...or are there a lot of STUPID day traders and stock brokers out there? Why wouold anyone sell stock today knowing the market is on the "edge" after last week? Has anyone except me heard the addage "buy low, sell high" not "buy and sell at the first sign of trouble"...WTF?
OK...my rant is over.

Last I heard, curbs were in place to stop trading a little while ago..
The Fed also lowered interest rates by 1/2 a point...didn't seem to do much, but that's hard to say.
I bet the market will end up about even or a little lower by the end of today. There will be some panic selling, but once that settles down, it'll be alright.
It's a huge buying opportunity...
