camber and fender roll is your friend. you also have to stretch tires

If you can find some way to fit a 9 +22 under the stock fenders yeah.

Yes, but it might not be practical. 17x9 +22 is the highest offset you can go before it becomes concave...unless you go wider wheel then it's something like 17x9.5 +28, 17x10 +35 etc...

I had to cut out my quarter panel to get it to work. You might be able to do it without cutting, but you'd probably be runnign -4 degrees of camber and stretching a 225 or 235 tire.

i track my car so I wanted to keep my alignment and tire specs close to what I've always been running. If you dont' care much about handling, then your options become much broader.
