Just curious, why did you go with 255/45/17 instead of 255/40/17?

For fun, this is what a 255/40/17 NT01 looks like on a 9 and a 10. Fender clearance is seriously half an inch+ easier on the 10, despite the wheel sticking out slightly more with respect to rim edge to hub.

pretty interesting... I’d not considered that the stretch from a wider wheel would open up clearance. I always thought wider wheel, less clearance.

can anyone confirm what this super scientific experiment seems to be suggesting? If true, doesn’t seem to be a reason not to run 10”.

Only real reason is that you basically have no wheel protection. If I lay my wheels down that the rim is on the ground, rather than the tire. Probably not ideal for a street car, other than that everything is an upside. Car feels more linear in terms of lateral grip, rather than kind of peaky.

I just got these wheels. Debating whether do 245 or 255. Did you have to pull the fenders? I want to have enough clearance so that I can track the car. I'm willing to get some camber on there.
