That's pretty weak sauce... For about $15 you could have bought Air craft stripper and some Duplicolor paint.
thats exactly what I said.

Looks pretty bad. Mine didnt come out that way. You sure its an actual "authentic" J's valvecover? They only offered them for a couple years back in 2001-2003 after that you had to buy the motor to get one as per Ben from AJ Racing... I got mine before that. There are "style" J's valvecovers out there...

Here is an "authentic" picture of one. I am not saying yours isnt real (I cant tell) but just making you aware that they are over $400 used not new plus shipping. I bought it used for $450+shipping back in 2003. BTW all J's Racing valvecovers are bought as used items not new..

Chris, they didn't offer them in just 01-03, they've had it for sale till now.
You don't have to buy the motor for the valve cover, they sell them separately.
Thirdly, they've been the same price since they've came out, which is 32000yen.

Actually your off on this. I had done a lot of research back in 2001 and 2002 when most of you guys didnt even have this car. No big deal. I spoke with a couple shops here and in Japan. The price when they came out used was $450. I know I saw the invoice from J's Japan. Just because you guys jumped on the J's bandwagon long after some of us actually had a lot of their parts.. (remember the Spoon days?) doesnt mean your the experts nor am I. I am going by what I was told when nobody was importing Js Racing stuff back then (FOR THE S2000). Anyway they have never been that cheap until recently. I had a lot of this stuff when you guys were in the integra days and wouldnt know. Things change and people change and prices change for that matter. Then a couple years ago I contacted and spoke with Ben and Alan, again before you worked there and they told me flat out that you cant get them unless you buy the motor package. Again things change.. and prices change.. On top of that I have seen two of them and they didnt look this bad. Chris had one and so did I. Even ask him. Same thing was told to Chris (AmuseAP1).

I am not going to get into a debate over this. What I know what was told and sold to me. Anyway dont take this the wrong way. But honestly in 2001 and early 2002 AJ wasnt importing Js Racing stuff from what I can remember. The car had only been out a year, remember? On top of that I dont really care. I was just stating an observation on the valvecover.

I think that Dickson would know more than you Chris. Dickson probably is getting his info from Ben who does a not more dealing with J's than you or anybody else on this site. As you said, things change. Maybe they sell them without purchasing the whole motor now.

I would be considered a kid since I was only 6 when you were driving your Teg. Im not saying that you dont have information, or useful information for that matter. Im just saying that AJ-R deal VERY closely with J's Japan and that they probably communicate with them more often. Just my $.02. Not doubting any of your knowledge, but I just think theres might be more up to date.
