We don't have enough people to qualify for a group rate. I do agree it's pricey, but there is also no requirement saying you have to stay at Cambria. I, for one, have explored staying at the Hilton that's 30 seconds away. The Hampton Inn is probably a minute drive as well. Fortunately, Polaris area has a lot of hotel options to fit everyone's needs, and hey, if you can stay for free 2 exits north, I'd probably be jumping on that! My $.02.

Booking a room seems premature though. Do you even have tickets to Mid Ohio?
How about instead of whining that other's didn't get you something for free, you put in some effort yourself and try to set up a group rate.

No whining here. $195/night is pricey, IMHO, as much as I travel for U S Soccer and other things. May look into the other hotels in the area, as Mocky suggested. Polaris has really built up, since I moved from the area in '94. Been back regularly, but caught me by surprise of how well the property is fill out.

I honestly think there is something going on that weekend because the hotel rooms everywhere are significantly higher than they normally are. It can't be the Mid Ohio race, those inflated prices are all around the track. If you do find a place, maybe post up where you decided. Others may look at that as an option as well.
