Our street is finally open but a few of the cities here on the west side are still a mess.

We're lucky around here. The storm this summer knocked everything down so all that we got this week was 3~4" of snow.

Faith's mom still has no power on Long Island (Huntington) trees have fallen through houses many have no phone service, gas & food in

short supply. No hot water since many heat with oil and the water heaters have small electric motors to pump the oil.

Lots of people are being injuried falling and breaking bones walking around their homes and yards in the dark...

Glad to hear everyone here is doing at least OK. We usually lose power in my neighborhood at the slightest hint of a storm, but this one passed with no outages. Feeling for my friends in the NY/NJ metroplex, though.

Update... Faith's Mom on Long Island got her power back along with the rest of her street... Still a long way to go, but one step at a

time... hundreds of thousands of steps to go... gasoline lines are still 2+ hours... some traffic light work...
