I was in Columbus all weekend and only saw one local S2k. I was there autoxing at OSU Saturday and Sunday as was Gus who drove all the way from Indy. So why weren't there more of you guys out there?
Greetings, all! I was wondering where events are being held at OSU. I'm an alumnus ('91 and '95) and did my very first autoX at the west campus lot circa 1989. That was in my Dad's 1974 Alfa Romeo Spider. But for my last few years there I couldn't find the OSU Sports Car Club anymore. Now my wife and I have moved to Baltimore, I'd love to come out there again, but would have to get a trailer for the tires. Maybe next year. Do any of you have a link for the events out there? Thanks, hope to meet someday
Events can be found at www.myautoevents.com or at www.scca.org and follow the solo II links. I don't know anything about an OSU sports car club - the event last weekend was an SCCA divisional.
The parking lot where they hold the autocrosses is basically across Ackermann Road from the Industrial Nucleonics aka Accuray aka ABB building. I don't know which name you would remember the place by.
I was out of town at a friend's (belated) graduation party. I drove up 315 on my way out of town on Saturday around 3:30 PM or so and was quite surprised to see things all set up. I guess I didn't even realize there was an event going on. The weekend before and after I had weddings to go to... luckily, that's all done now and I think I get to relax and do nothing next weekend!
