Default Honda MTF now pink instead of yellow

I just purchased 3 quarts of Honda MTF from Jack Matia in Elyria.

While changing the MTF on my vehicle I pumped what was left in an old bottle and which was and always has been yellow. I started to pump in the MTF from a newer bottle and it was pink. I stopped immediately. I double checked that the bottle said MTF, it did. I checked the other 2 bottles I purchased and they were also pink.

I called Ganley Honda parts department and he checked their stock too and it was also pink instead of yellow.

Has anyone else run into this?

Did you notice a different color label on the MTF bottle? I remember reading on the Civic forums that they had a new formulation that was supposed to be "better".

The latest bottle I have has a green label and it looks like the old bottles had a black label judging from this Civic forum post. I think I recall the MTF I used looking the same color as the plate on the right (it definitely had the green label on the bottle though).

I haven't noticed a change, but I get my fluid from the Acura dealership.

This is a more recent change than that one. I change my MTF every other year. So this change is from the last two years or so.

Old yellow MTF on left, new pink MTF on right with swish stamped into the bottle.

Ah, I don't change my transmission fluid that often, so I haven't really noticed the change then. Good to know.

I've gotten it for a couple years and always had a pinkish color (I'd call it red more than anything). I've never seen yellow ever.

I agree with amped_imports. I never saw yellow before and I recently started to do the transmission oil change myself (never done it to any of my cars until recently) and the ones I got from the dealership are pinkish color.
