IMSA Car Corral at Mid-Ohio - May 4-6
I’ve spoken to the folks at Mid Ohio to see if they’ll have a spot for a S2000 car corral. I want to gauge interest to see how many people would definitely go and how many would possibly be interested in going. I don't know what a minimum number would be, but I’ve suggested we can join together with the NSX corral (assuming they’re having one, as in the past.) The price for the car corral is usually the same price as an infield parking pass ($30), plus the race ticket. I’ll ask for any type of discount, but I just want to gauge interest for know so I can give Mid-Ohio an approximate number. For certain, I'm in for all three days. Just a heads up for everyone.. PWC will NOT be with Indy cars at Mid O this yr. so if your looking for that kind of racing this is your only chance this yr.

We'd need at least 20 cars, which we don't have, so I don't see us getting a corral at IMSA this year.

I've spoken with the marketing firm that is organizing the NSX corral, and as of today that will be Acura only, not a joint corral. |
I may just roll that weekend with the wagon. Easier to haul more things like a cooler, bicycle and photo gear.

Hopefully they keep all the NSX's with H badges out of the corral....wouldn't want that riff raff mixing in with all the high dollar acuras....:glare:

If anyone has any kind of Acura or knows anyone who does and wants to go let me know. I work for Acura and they told me today I have 5 tickets for the corral to give away. :badger:

Few of the s2k guys are setup where the s2k group normally is and will be here tomorrow as well... come say hey! But green tent as JB said has some acura and honda flags hung up as well... btw spy someone's silver s2k right across from us lol

I saw a suzuka parked in the corral area yesterday, and saw a black ap1 with aftermarket front fenders whilst leaving after the race, but that was about it. I was in the Alfa, so no waving from me cause that would've been weird. lol.
Weather was fantastic and was a good time as always. Glad to have IMSA back. |
