MP3 Player
I have heard you can burn like 15 albums of music on one disc. I have a bunch of MP3s on my pc. When I go to burn them on my 700MB disc, it will only take 1/3 of them. Do I need a cd that holds more or am I doing something wrong? :thinker:
|
i don't think it's the cd since most cds hold 80min of music or 700mb
are you burning them as a data file ? .mp3? even at 320kb, you should be able to get more than 200 + songs. hope that helps |
Any MP3 is typically anywhere from 3mb to 6mb in file size depending on the bitrate of the song itself, length of the track, etc.
On a 680mb CD this should work out to be 150+ songs per disc. The albums (folders) themselves are miniscule in size so basically you should be able to get almost all the albums to fit. How are you burning the files to disc, just through Windows XP? Roxio? HP Writer? |
hmm.. well, i stand corrected...i guess i should do the math.
well, if he's trying to squeeze 15 albums on a disc, and say, for example, each album has 12 songs, then he's got 180 songs...which, by your math, wouldn't all fit... ray... get an ipod and connect it to that bad ass stereo  |
Does 'almost all the albums' equal 'all the albums'? :whome:
Since when does every album have 12 tracks.... The point was he should be able to fit at least more than 5 albums....obviously there is something wrong if he can't fit more than 50-60 MPs on a single CD. :egads: If he's got an MP3 CD deck...mind as well use it instead of drop ing $300 into an iPod. |
My Alpine plays MP3.
I have been downloading at 128-190 Bitrate per song. Is that too high? It looks like each song is about 4,000 - 5,500 Kb. |
Your bitrate should be fine...the file sizes look normal.
When I put together mp3/wma CDs nowadays, I just use Windows XP and drag and drop everything into the disc....then I click burn. a) What software are you using to burn the CD? b) What's the total size of the albums you're burning? |
I just opened up media player. I will try the drag method.
