No front plate just got me out of a ticket!
Just got stopped for 45 in a 25, really nice officer just doing his job. He noticed that I haven't had a moving violation in 18 years and wanted to cut me a break. The issue was he called it in so had to cite me for something, so instead of the moving violation which was $30 more and 2 points he gave me a ticket for the front plate. I say in this case no front plate was a win!

You sure no front plate didn't grab his attention and then the speed was noted? At least your car passed the sniff test. Might not at 0200 after a night out. Why give cops an excuse to pull you over?

Yes I am sure, I was a good bit over the speed limit and he was sitting next to city workers who have been pushing tightening up on speed there.
1.) I don't like the looks of front plates on any car 2.) I have not had a front plate on any of my cars for the past 10+ years and have been stopped a total of 2 times now 3.) I don't do illegal things where I need to worry about being pulled over. In this case not having a front plate saved me $ :) |
I should note that I was in my BMW, not my S2000

Where did you get caught?
