Default RS4's: Anyone else tried them yet?

I've done two events on these tires so far and have been very impressed. I'll be the first to admit that both events were ran on days that started with cold wet mornings, only to end with cool cloudy track day weather in the afternoons (temps in 40's to low 50's); so the ideal track conditions haven't been tested yet. In rain they felt better than the RS3's I ran for a couple of wet track days last year. However, it goes without saying that there is no good grip at Mid-Ohio when it rains. At PIRC however, they felt even better than the previous model. Once it dried out, the tire temps never got 'hot' per say, but the grip was still relatively impressive. Turn in felt great. I ran one lap each time, trying to warm them up, before pushing them harder. At both Mid-Ohio and PIRC I was able to break my PR's in less than ideal conditions. Then again I attribute a large part of that to my newfound downforce and suspension changes. Still, the tires gripped great and responded better than anticipated. Very predictable. Once dry they were confidence inspiring.

Was wondering if anyone ran them on a warm to hot day yet...and if so, what was your thoughts? Please chime in.

Edit: Seen rather positive feedback online as well.

Have you posted your experiences in the racing and competition forums? From a track feedback standpoint, you might get more input.

Or you can ask the content editors for a write up. Lol

(Can't believe you thought admins wrote/owned the site. Hahahaha)

Suppose I'm old school. Ten to twenty years ago that's how forums worked.

Anyway, I posted here because a local member here said he was interested in seeing what I thought about them. Thanks for looking out though

Right on. Thanks guys. I've been using them for a bit now, and have been quite impressed with them, when in comparison to the previous RS3's; as far as performance goes.
