Here are some pics of my old Si. Sold it in October and picked up my S2000. It was a 2000 and I only had 36k original miles on it when I sold it. I owned/loved that car for 12 years! Bought it bone stock and my Dad and I did everything to it ourselves! It was time for a change though! Anyhow, the wheels are 17" Volk GT-7's painted black with the polished lip. I personally like the way they looked on my Si. Good luck with your search!

I ended up ordering gunmetal through wheeldude.com due to them having 5% off and free shipping through the 2nd....

Here's the kicker though. I called them, talked to what I believe is the owner of the company. He tells me they have a set of gunmetal ones in stock but they aren't on the website. He tells me to go ahead and order either the bronze or black with machined lip on the site as they're all the same price and to put in the comments that I spoke to "Tom" and that I actually want gunmetal ones and they'll ship those to me.

.......what can go wrong here right? So, me being the idiot I did it. We'll see what I actually get. I'm going to call them tomorrow and double check on the status of all this but, I'm betting I get a pair of bronze ones because well.....I'm an idiot.

Either color will end up looking good. If you get the bronze, just ask them for some money back on the messed up order.

So I got a call then last week saying the wheels I wanted were not in stock. So, I said I'll just go with the Boosts in Hyper Black. I then get ANOTHER call saying they don't have them when their website said they did. Screw it, so then I said I'd go with them in gunmetal. 4 days later they finally ship.

I think they'll look alright on the car. Their gunmetal is the darkest definition of gunmetal I've ever seen but I'm very happy with it. (it makes me wonder what the difference was between hyper black and these)

Anyway, the tires should be coming in Wednesday or Thursday so hopefully I'll have her back on the road soon! (I'm tired of driving the CRV) Oh, and the tires I ordered are the Nexen CP672. The current wheels had Nexen N5000 and these are actually supposed to be a very comparable tire and I read many good reviews on them for best bang for the buck. (its for the daily so I'm not going to get some summer only tires)

Anyway, just updating! 'tis all!

Finally on!

I'm tempted to get a Eibach Pro Kit to fill the wheel gap a little but part of me doesn't want to put money in the daily driver. (I probably will end up getting one)

Thanks for the kind words!

I don't ever plan on selling it though. It has 165,000 miles on it so I think I'll just drive it forever.

Sad new though, I washed the car and noticed one of the wheels right around the lip was scratched to HELL. I went back to the Tire Discounters that I got them put on at and they're looking at replacing it. The manager said it someone there must have been helping another guy install the tires and used one of the installers that has a metal clamp (or whatever it is) as compared to the plastic ones they're supposed to use on custom wheels.

Either way I'm glad they're going to fix it and it didn't seem like a problem. The manager said they have wheel medic fix wheels if they have problems but I told him that they were brand new wheels and good luck trying to match the color exactly. Not to mention, the wheels aren't super expensive. For $150 they could just order a new one which is want they're going to look into it seems.

Anywho, I took a couple pictures of the car today and I'll try and post them if get a chance to get them off the camera.
