Planning a full suspension refresh this winter. Have Ohlins to install, Powerflex bushings and subframe collars. Bgoetz, I read your thread with the horror story of your broken subframe bolt and now I'm having major anxiety over doing the collars. Really hoping I don't run into that issue, but I expect the worst since my underbody isn't the cleanest. Hopefully I'm not biting off more than I can chew, but if everything goes well I expect it'll feel like a new car next spring!

This year will see all new brakes (OEM) with caliper rebuilds plus new wheel bearings. Guess I better get started soon!

Dont break one of those bolts or you will be in a world of frustration, that took me forever to fix! I would not force them, if they bind go back up about 1/4" then back down keep doing it until you get the bolt out. This could take a long time but it will be worth it. Buy new bolts that don't come out cleanly.

I use Firestone downtown for both my S2k and BMW tires/alignment. I am very happy

Yeah definitely going to do everything in my power to avoid breaking any. Sounded like you had a heck of a time getting it resolved. My plan is to approach it like you said, by working them back and forth. I'm also going to use an impact wrench and avoid a breaker bar if at all possible. Do you have any other tips to share after your experience? Did you have any luck accessing the top of the bolt from anywhere to apply any penetrant?
