Isn't there a big price difference between the 3.5RL and the 2.5TL? It would make more sense if you're comparing the RL with a 3.2TL.
not when looking at the 95-98's ....they are in the 5k range

Timmy the second pic looks like a Vigor, not a TL. Stay away from those, they rust.

The prior gen TLs were pretty tough cars. Probably a good buy.
just going off what they listed it as....regardless....the RL/TL/Vigor is a good choice for me...I want something will a little more class but still a 3rd vehicle and could be driven even in the summer if I didn't want to take the S & the wife's somewhere in the MDX.....the Taurus stayed parked until I'm forced to drive it.

Looks like a 2.7 TL. The Vigor was more square on the front and was shorter.
You're right.

The Vigor is more squared off with the headlights and the wheels are different. Besides that, the door handles and belt line were changed, but the newer TL still looks a lot like the old Vigor until you park them side by side.

As for Tim's question, I like the RL of the two, but I would not rule out a Volvo like Andy mentioned. Those Volvos can run forever and have decent quality.

There's no such thing as a 2.7 TL

The only 2.7-liter engine is used in the '95-97 Accord V6, and it was the first-gen Legend motor.

And a sweet, smooth, and rugged little V6 it was.
