Now that the weather is a bit better, a meet at JRP sounds good for some karting.

1990 or 91 was the last time I was in Tulsa. But with map quest and a smart phone I think I could find most places. Hamburgers, Karting they all sound good. Just set a time and place. Depending on what time I leave I might take some of the back roads like through Hominy and Clevland or Collinsville, more curves. Probably go home on 412 if it is after dark fewer animals.

How about a bring-your-own-whatever picnic at Skiatook Lake?

I like this idea too. And then Andy's later in the evening.

Picnic sounds fun. Weather should be good, sunny mid 80's. Then follow the leader to karting or something.

I drove out to Skiatook Lake this evening to scope out some picnic areas. Found one at Tall Chief Cove but then I was also reminded about this place called CrossTimbers Marina. They have a neat-looking restaurant called Lakeside Grill. Their website doesn't say much so I don't know what kind of food they serve, what price range they're in, or if they'll even be open, but they have plenty of parking with a nice view of the lake.

Edit - never mind about Lakeside Grill. I e-mailed them and they replied:
Skiatook location is closed for a private party this Saturday.
Our new location will be open though.
We are at the new Mannford boat ramp on keystone lake.
2 level floating restaurant. Come see us there.
So what do you all want to do? Again, this is not a dictatorship, i.e. I'm not going to decide for you all.

If you had driven a bit further to Hominy you would have found this Wild Country Market

review on Urbanspoon

(not sure I'll be there, still trying to put things back together after changing a burned out parking light ....what a freaking hassle!!!)

That looks and sounds interesting. Have you eaten there before?

Well I don't know if this is going to happen at this point. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of interest.

Yes, I ate there a couple of months ago. You know not to ask me questions like that, I have that fuzzy memory thing. But I'm thinking I ate too much because I went with the steak dinner for my lunch time appetite.

I agree, not enough interest, evidently there are too many other activities in everybody's life for this weekend.
