Good friend of ous, Brian (aka Scorpion, the yellow w/ Veilside) is getting deployed to Iraq Monday or Tuesday so we had a group drive in his honor.

That's a telephone pole on a road called Patterson...it's fairly curvy - a black GS-R Integra took the first corner doing 100mph+, slammed on the brakes mid-corner and slid into the pole. The only thing holding the back half of the car to the front is the driver side rear quarter panel. Both passengers were fine.
BTW, took off my windshield tape today - hawt!

Sorry for the tiny post up top, I was in a hurry.
As I said, Brian is getting deployed early this week, so we had a group drive in his name. Met up around 8am at the gas station pictured, strolled through a few curvy roads, then had some lunch at a cafe. Drove through some more fun roads to that pier for some pics, then on to another restaurant for dinner.
On the way to the restaurant, the blue S and I decided to take advantage of a long, straight road. Needless to say there was a cop that saw us fly past and radioed that there were "small cute sportscars" racing around and speeding and whatnot. So, the group gets a couple tails...luck would have it Brian got on it a little too hard at a left turn and got quite sideways - bald tires, nice-sized turbo, and gravel don't mix. Cap saw him and promptly pulled him and wrote two tickets - one for wreckless driving (getting sideways) and no seatbelt (he had taken his belt off to get to his license which was in his wallet - AFTER he had stopped). The man of the hour and he's the only one who got a ticket(s)....
