Gauging Interest: Tech Day @ Four Star (Tulsa)
First of all, for those who don't know about Four Star Import Automotive, let me just say they are a reputable independent service/repair shop that only services Hondas and Acuras. Their shop is super clean and organized and has several lifts plus an alignment rack. One of their techs, Quinton (engear2005), happens to be an S2000 owner as well as an active member of and contributor to the local S2000 community.
I spoke to the owner today about hosting a weekend Tech Day at their facility. He expressed interest and is going to look into some things before we set it in stone. There will likely be no charge for us to attend but if your car needs work done, you may have to come prepared with any necessary parts and/or fluids. I'm not sure if we will be able to work on our own cars (depends on what all their liability insurance covers) but regardless, it will be an incredible learning experience for some/most and definitely a fun day for all. I'm thinking we can accomplish tasks like fluid changes (engine oil, transmission, differential, brake, clutch), serpentine belt and spark plug replacements, alignments, rear axle nut retorquing, wheel balancing, coolant flush, and possibly even valve adjustments if car arrives early enough to allow time to cool.
So who all is interested and what does your car need done or do you just want to watch, hang out, and learn?
