still hoping to go to BMT, but being that tomorrow is the 5th i only got about 10 days to make a decision on wether or not i will be able to go and not still have to pay for the hotel. crossing my fingers, but not looking good
well i called earl this morning and got the car over there. i guess charlie was not in and he was going to be the one working on the car. kinda anxious to hear from them tomorrow to see what kinda bad news they give me.
cooling systems are simple. the first things you should check are ones you can do yourself:
1. make sure you have enough coolant in the system.
2. make sure your fans are operating. most of the time when a honda is overheating, its because the condensor and radiator fans aren't turning on. if the fans aren't turning on, check the wiring, fan switch/coolant temp sensor, relays, fuses, etc, etc.
3. make sure the thermostat isn't stuck closed.
4. make sure the water pump is functioning properly.
99% of the time, overheating can be attributed to one of the above

okay well.......earl at 4 star just gave me a call and im not crazy...the car is just having a problem that even the pros cant catch. earl said that all the techs are super frustrated with my car, cuz every test they put it through it passes!! so now another mechanic is stumped!
his suspision (sp?) is that maybe the thermostat is hanging up and sticking just every now and then. he said they got TONS of air out of the system this morning and they were about to call me and tell me it was indeed a HG, but they waited till they were finished bleeding it and drove it around for a while and nothing. they just cant put their finger on what is causing it just like the other mechanics. so i decided to go ahead and have them throw another new thermostat in the car and hope that fixes it. maybe we will get lucky this time.
in the meen time BOSTON MOUNTAINS HERE WE COME!!! ill just bring a few tools and fix what breaks on the side of the road if i have to!

No clue. Just give them a call in the morning. Ask for Earl or Charlie.
Good luck!
