Obituary for Marcus Bastianen:
Looks like some out-of-towners such as Ch0pper and ntenseone will be here for the funeral. Anybody want to have a "Meet in honor of Marcus" afterwards?
Marcus Valentyn Bastianen passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2015, at the age of 41 years. He was born on February 14, 1973, in Italy, to Bernardus Cornelis Bastianen and Rosa Maria Bastianen. Marc loved to travel and enjoyed many activities such as scuba diving and skiing. He also held interests in cars, football, and photography. Prior to moving to Katy, Texas, Marc was a longtime resident of Oklahoma.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki Bastianen of Katy, Texas; daughters, Kylie and Kelsey of Katy, Texas; parents, Ben and Rose Bastianen of Chicago, Illinois; brother, Peter Bastianen and his wife Christina; and his nephews, Nathan, Matthew, and Bennie.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2015, at Fellowship Lutheran Church, 6727 S. Sheridan Road, Tulsa, OK.

Saturday's weather is looking good for a "Meet in honor of Marcus." Therefore, some of us are planning the day as follows:
11am memorial service
lunch (location TBD but suggested places so far are Mekong, Golden Corral, Jason's Deli, and Sam & Ella's)
1:45 pm drive (2pm departure via Hwy 412 east, then twisties north/east towards Jay, estimated time = 3 hours round trip, I suggest we avoid Spavinaw)
freshen up for dinner
7:30 dinner @ either Zanmai (1402 S Peoria Ave) or Osaka (11016 E 81st St) depending on how many we have
We need a headcount for dinner. Please post if you plan to join us for dinner.
This is not set in stone so please check back for changes.
