Oklahoma Convoy to Fall BMT15
What is a BMT, you ask? Read all about it by following this link to the official Fall BMT15 thread in the Ark-La-Tex section.
For those who wish to caravan from the Tulsa area on Friday, October 23, let's meet at meet at the Harps off Hwy 412 & Hwy 88 in Inola at 12:30 (leave by 1pm). Alternate meet/departure times and route are open to discussion. Goals:  reach our destination after check-in but before sunset (so between 3pm and 6:30-ish) and not get stuck in Friday rush hour traffic in Springdale/Fayetteville/Rogers/Bentonville. :argh: List of attendees caravanning from Tulsa: DirtyBird (Mike, 2000 Silverstone) ThaBigEasy (Ernie, 2005 New Formula Red) Don Miguel+1 (Mike & Monica, 2006 Laguna Blue) Ejbarber+1 (Ej & ?????, 2010 Mustang GT) J Schmidt (Jason, 2006 GrandPrix White) dirtys2000 (Antonio, 2000 Berlina Black) JulieU (Julie, Names above in bold are confirmed. Names not in bold are unconfirmed. This BMT is scheduled a few weekends earlier than usual and happens to fall in peak season for Eureka Springs so all the area hotels will fill up quick if they're not already, so if you plan on staying overnight and don't already have a room reserved, you might want to look into it sooner rather than later. |
Room Booked! See you there, Julie!
|
Gonna try and make it.
|
Anyone want to split a room?

Julie you can put me down confirmed :tipwink:

Due to construction on I-44, I'm changing our meetup spot.
Option A (Northern Route) <-- click to see map How about we meet in Claremore at the big QuikTrip on Hwy 20 right off the turnpike? From there, we can continue east on Hwy 20 and proceed with our "usual route" with a couple minor changes like the starting point of course and I have us taking Hwy K from Pineville instead of Hwy 90 thru Jane to avoid traffic and a rough section of Hwy 90. Option B (Southern Route) <-- click to see map Or we could meet at the Harps right off Hwy 412 & Hwy 88 in Inola. This route is a little simpler but there's a chance we could get stuck in Fayetteville traffic so might not be such a good idea after all, although I'm not sure if that will be an issue if we leave on time. Any other ideas? This is open for discussion! FWIW, I left Tulsa at 3pm and drove the straight boring route to Eureka Springs this past Friday and got stuck in traffic in Siloam Springs, Springdale, Bentonville, and Rogers. What should normally take me 2.5 hours took every bit of 3.5 hours. So let's please avoid going through those towns. |
I'd vote for southern. Maybe time would allow for a visit to the pig?
|
It is very likely that you will be visiting the pig on Saturday.
|
Well you never get too much pig!
