I regret to inform you all that Ann Vogel has passed away. From what I gather on Facebook, she lost her battle with cancer last night. She is well known in the autocross community, not only locally but nationally as she was the SCCA Ladies National Champion several years ago with her Spa Yellow AP1. In 2003 or 2004, before I got my S2000, she let me ride along with her in the very first autocross event I attended at the old Tanger outlet mall in Stroud. I remember her telling me not to hold on to the door handle but to just grip the sides of the seat bottom instead, oh and "don't scream." What a rush!!



She later sold that car and drove a Z06 Corvette for a while but recently acquired a Grand Prix White AP2 which got T-boned and totaled a couple months ago. She was OK, just beat up and bruised... and heartbroken.




Anyhow, TMI. What an amazing driver and lady. She'll be missed by many, I'm sure.

It sounds like Ann was an awesome lady. Thoughts and prayers are with her friends and family. So sad.
