Poor car hasn't been out for two months. Must... drive... S2000! Don't know where to yet but will likely be to northwest Arkansas and/or southwest Missouri (where all the nice fun roads are) and last all day (back in Tulsa by 8pm), and if the weather forecast changes, then I might go on Sunday, 8/30 instead. Open to safe and responsible drivers tagging along.

Thanks for posting this Julie! Wish we had more drives like this. I have been wanting to organize drives like this for the OKC group but just been too busy it seems.

I wish I could join you on this drive but I have some plans in Dallas this weekend.

Yes. As long as you keep your car under control at all times, not drive left of center (unless to avoid hitting something or someone), and will resist the temptation of "pushing the limits," you're welcome to join. I always make sure not to leave anyone behind, so anyone concerned about that need not be worried.

If you're in, let's meet at the McDonald's off I-44 and 129th at 9am with a charged two-way radio. If you don't have one, I have and will bring extras you can borrow. We'll grab a quick breakfast and hit the road as soon as we're all ready (no later than 10am). These route avoid turnpikes but it wouldn't hurt to bring a Pikepass if you have one.

 

That looks like a lot of fun! I wish I could join you, but I am up in MN right now and won't be down until just before Bikes Blues and BBQ and a few days after. If you or anyone else is planning a drive around that time (NOT the 19th though, I have a motorcycle event that day)let me know. It sure seems like OK and AR have been quite lately. I'm just counting the days until the Fall BMT.

It's on for tomorrow. Got my radios on the charger, camera packed, radar detector, GPS, fire extinguisher, sunscreen, hat... will check oil, brake and clutch fluid, and tires in the morning. Please arrive with a full tank!

 

For anyone interested, two large VW meets are happening in Eureka Springs this weekend. I am already down here for those, but may be able to meet up for lunch or a short stint.
