Foliage Update 11-06-2015 - The fall foliage season along the Talimena National Scenic Byway is nearing peak color. The fall foliage at Talimena State Park has been interesting this year, with no consistency to the leaf turning. Trees of the same type and in the same grove are varying from green, to completely bare with a handful of dramatically changing specimens mixing it up. Trees at Lake Wister State Park are showing some oranges, browns and quite a bit of yellow, and trees at Ouachita National Park are nearing their peak. Typically, foliage can be viewed at its peak from the last week of October through the first week of November.
