Awesome info, thank you. I'm at 87k and been wondering who to go to for the 100k maintenance... Salem it is! Quick question about parking in Portland, it was mentioned that there are front license plate tickets!? I'm still using my Florida tags, think that'll pass?

I'm thinking yes since I've parked on the street with my TL without any problems.

I wouldn't bank on that. Park in a garage to be safe and be off the metered streets

I'd recommend AR if you're in the Portland area but as others have stated, they are pricey. Too me it's worth it as I know it will be done right the first time and I can leave the car overnight with the keys in the drop box and not worry. We all have our preferences and experiences though and I don't own one anymore, but hopefully again soon!

Regarding the front plate, the traffic wardens in downtown have been rather aggressive lately and it seems there are more of them. With that being said, I was successful in having a no-front plate tag dismissed after a written contest (I had the front plate on the dash). We still live downtown and I wouldn't risk it anymore - I ended up putting two small black hanging screws under the bumper opening and when parking on the street I'd hang the plate then remove when leaving.

If you have out of stage tags you will be fine on the front plate issue (imagine all the tourists or rental cars receiving no front plate tickets!).

I just spoke with Honda of Salem, and they let me know that Paul Nix will be out for at least a month recuperating from hand surgery. I hope he makes a full recovery!

Anyone have recommendations for installing a new soft top? I recently moved back from AZ and bought my second S as I missed my first one so much. It does need a new top and installing one myself isn't currently an option. (I work about 55 hours a week plus we are starting a kitchen remodel lol) Any help would be much appreciated.

Where are you located? A few of us have done it ourselves.

Done it before. It's not rocket surgery. I left all of plastics in (save for the rear tray and the vents behind the seats) and was done in about 4-5 hours. I could absolutely do it in less now that I know what I'm doing.

For the record, I got the Robbins in Haartz Stayfast black and I've been very, very happy with the quality.

+1 for being very very happy with the Haartz Stayfast black. Much higher quality than the awful OEM vinyl. As a bonus, it's quieter and stays much cooler in the sun.

Thanks guys! That actually was going to be my next question. I'm in North Portland JC. Still the tough matter of finding the time/place to do it though. If I wasn't so busy with work and had a workspace I'd consider attempting it myself :-).

Standing offer out to you and anyone else who's local; If you can make it to SW, I've got the space and the tools. You've just gotta find the time
