The weather gods smiled on us today - An oasis in a month of rain and nasty weather! It did sprinkle on us, but not until the last 20 minutes of the day.
We started out the day with the usual chatting and gawking at each other's cars:
Amy (our Minister of Hospitality) offered up a nice smile in spite of the fact that she was deathly sick (but never too sick to miss one of our drives!):
We leave the lot - 24 S2000's strong:
Crossing the Fremont Bridge:
24 S's and a truck or two:
Leaving Germantown Road and heading to West Union:
Lunch at McMenamin's historic Oregon Hotel:
Heading back through Newberg:
And finally, Wilsonville Road:
We had a great time and certainly look forward to a great upcoming drive season!
Thanks for all of the new people that showed up for their first drive with us;
........Ira, Jason, Sunil, Huy, Paul2 and Jeremy (and Brook).
...Don't make it your last time.
We all missed Jim -
....
who is normally the life of the party. Get well soon, Jim!
It was good to see everyone today, so sorry I was sick, but I really was trying to stay away from everyone... . And it was great that we had so many newer members joining us for the drive...hope you had fun.
This is the first event that I have not taken pictures, at all. I charge the camera last night, and did not even take it out of the bag.
Thanks to Elizabeth for being my passanger and not laughing too much at my music collection. We had a great time ripping some tunes that would put the original artist to shame. That is our story, and no one knows anything differnt.
It was great to see all the old friends again, and the not so old friends. It was awesome to add people to our group. I hope to see all of you again very soon.
