Oregon S2ki Club. . . . Specialty Plates?
I was going to get some specialty plates for my S2000 to avoid having to ever renew my tags. Here's the dilemma. . .
for specialty plates, they require the car to be part of a car club and the president must sign off on the application. Or, it has to be a collector or special purpose car. If it is a special purpose car, it cannot be used for regular driving activities, UNLESS, the the car is in the car club qualification.
if it qualifies under the car club qualification, there can be a mission statement that says something along the lines of, "drive your S2000 as often as you can." Or something of similar spirit.
ideas? Thoughts? Tag renewals are going up almost double in Oregon by 2020. Just an FYI.

One of the challenges with this is to be an actual club, there are more requirements to consider. Being regisistered as a club/organization, having a board of direcotrs, a treasurer, dues, have regular meetings and minutes kept, insurance, etc.
it isn't as simple as having a group with a tag line in order to try and take advantage of a program like the SP plates.
