Sounds like a pretty nice plan from my perspective. As a non NW native, I still have a lot of places to explore myself and you have a couple of places on your list I want to hit myself - Crater Lake and the Oregon Cascades.

I have done the CA Redwoods several times now when I combined trips down to Thunderhill for track events with a long sidetrip home along the coast and can't wait for a chance to do it again. Going south along the coast down there should be a nice journey. The one place I have overlooked in planning my past itineraries along that route has been Bandon. I took a few minutes from my travels up 101 to wander about that town last summer and left thinking it needs to be a stop along the way instead of someplace you pass through.
