If you do a search for past discussions about servicing S200s in the Portland area, you won't find too many recommendations, unfortunately.

The local Honda dealerships have been mentioned, but there have been mixed levels of satisfaction from board members.

Personally, I've been fortunate enough to not need any repairs yet (I do regular maintanance work myself) to go looking for a mechanic, even though I regularly flog my car on the track. When/If the day comes for more difficult mechanical work, I too would like to know of an experienced S2000 shop in the area.

Is there an S2000 "super"-mechanic in Portland or anywhere in the PacificNW?

I've done some research in this also, the answer is NO. There isen't any good S2K mechanic here in Portland area. I've tried search on cartalk forums on good (high rating) mechanics in this town. I've call them all.. none really want to even touch the S2000... /sigh

Give Cali a try.

Let me talk to another ex-owner from the area and talk to him about his mechanic. See how confident he was in his abilities.

I know he trusted him working on the S. Just not sure about the whole business setup...like did the guy only do it on the side and what not.

That sounds even better yet from a financial aspect, minimal overhead fits nicely into the big picture for me.

I bought my S2K totaled and it was in an electrical fire... needless to say all electrical will eventually need to be replaced

Keep me posted or email me direct if you so desire.
