Default Sidedraught City

I spent some time this past Friday visiting Sidedraught City located off of Johnson Creek Blvd in SE Portland. Neil, the owner, seemed like a down-to-earth guy. He carries a plethora of detailing products from Griot's Garage as well as SNELL approved helmets required to compete in certain competitive auto events (which is why someone on this s2ki initially turned me onto Sidedraught City), driving shoes and probably other items that I'm not aware of. Anyway, Neil spent a good deal of time going over the options here in the local area for improving my driving skills (autocross events/organizations as well as the various groups that do track days and the like). He was a wealth of information and also had some fun cars to look at that he either happened to be wrenching on, restoring or detailing.

Even though Sidedraught City was likely first mentioned to me by one of you guys, it was over on the S2000 Talk forum, Since the shop did not come up in a search here on the Oregon S2000 Owners sub-forum I thought that I'd go ahead and make mention of it as I enjoyed my time spent there talking with Neil. I'll likely find myself back at his shop here again in the not too distant future.

The place wasn't exactly over the top and there wasn't a lot of inventory on hand when I stopped by (he had just hosted a couple of different car club events there in the previous week). But Neil's a really nice guy and it's worth stopping by there if you happen to be in that area.

I just dropped into this place today! Neil was great, spent a lot of time with me taking about the cars he had in the shop and inspired me to finally break out my DA polisher! Not much at the shop, it’s mostly a garage with one shelf of Griot’s products. Saw a great Datsun roadster, old school Alfa coupe and Esprit, so worth it to go just to chat with Neil and see some cool cars
Thank you for recommending this place!
