Track Day - ORP - AMG Performance Center - Wilsonville, OR

ATTENTION S2000 OWNERS! I run the AMG Performance Center, the only one in Oregon, at Mercedes-Benz of Wilsonville. I'm developing a community around our AMG buyers, creating events, etc... In doing so, I've leased ORP on Memorial Day, May 27th, 2019. As an S2000 owner and enthusiast I bring my car along on all our events, and it turns out more than one of my customers and coworkers also race S2000's. By my count, we should have, as I write this, no less than 3 S2000's already signed up. I'd love to see more area S's out there running with the AMG's. Of course, if you happen to own an AMG, we'd be pleased to see it.

Mercedes-Benz of Wilsonville invites our guests to experience Oregon Raceway Park this Memorial Day for the first annual AMG Performance Center track day. A track day is a full day event where you get to test out your own skills and vehicle in a safe environment on a fun and exciting track.

The day starts with an orientation and instructions on how to keep safe, flags, and pacing around the track. After which you will be set to lap around the track in groups with a lead car to help you understand the track. After a couple of rounds, the lead car is removed and you’re ready to perform.

Drivers will be placed into 3 categories:

Novice/Intermediate
Advanced
Mercedes-Benz only (note: drivers in this class can also drive in one of the other classes, doubling their opportunity to be on track)

Sessions will run 20 minutes with a lunch at noon and dinner after racing has concluded for the day. A race day itinerary will be sent before the race day.

Pricing is $350 for the first driver, $65 for a second driver / passenger, and $55 for a non-driving guest. Please follow the link, DM me, or reply to this thread for more details.

I'll hope to see some of you at the track!

I’m interested, but how many sessions for each group?

Will they allow the OEM S2000 rollover protection? In the past ORP hasn’t

I wish I could join you, but I can’t.

running 3 20 minute sessions per hour allows each group 1 20 minute session per hour. We have the track for 8 hours, 1 hour for lunch wit track cold, means 7 hours of track. 7 x 20 minute sessions. 140 minutes of track time. OVER 2 HOURS. :drive:

Lunch and dinner will be served, I will have T-Shirts made for the event, and we have a videographer signed on to document the day.

For all the seat time, plus the extras, I feel we’re providing good value.

YES, S2000’s with factory roll hoops will be allowed on the day. It’s a great opportunity for S2KI enthusiasts to experience a track that, apparently, we’ve previously not been able to.

I’d really love to see a large S2000 contingent. Fingers are crossed you’ll all be there.

Thanks,

jeff

Hola Jeff!

Well, if I can get my fenders rolled in time, I will bring the S. First time on the track in 3 years!!! D will be in her mama beast. I'm scared to run hers for more than a few sessions. Those tires aren't going to be cheap!!

Mine need done, too! Does your guy do two-fers?

Do I need to roll them if I’m on stock wheel / tire sizes, but lowered?

All signed up, super excited!

That’s AWESOME, @arsenal ! Thank you.

were doing another tour up the Columbia on the 27th of this month. If you’re free, I’d love to meet you then. We’re meeting at 8 at C&C at World of Speed and then running out to the Skamania Lodge, where we’ll leave at 11am... pending the weather, should be an epic day.

thanks again,

jeff

I mean, we’re goin either way... the only thing pending is exactly how epic of a day it will be.

True, put me as a tentative depending on the weather :)
