Upcoming Events at PIR

Since these are not competition, timed events, or preparation for timed events, your regular insurance does cover you while participating in such an event. Do note that your policy likely includes language which renders coverage void if you do participate in an event that is timed or deemed to be competition.

Don't be so sure, Alan. SOME regular insurance policies cover track events, and others are written so that if you even take you car onto the property of a race track it is not covered. Anyone who cares should check their own policy carefully.
I know my insurance company hasn't done so yet, but it would behove anyone who wants to take their car out on a track to read the fine print in their policy carefully.
Well, given Alan's feedback on the Audi Club's limitations relative to the soft-top S2000, I'm planning on the following track events for March:
5 Alfa Romeo Club
24 BMW Club
Look forward to seeing other S2000s there...

PS: Alan, what do you know about the Audi Club's track rules, restrictions for a S2000 with a hardtop? --Will

ok I called State Farm and had them talk to their underwriter, and they said that since it isn't for any kind of competition, I would be covered, so no worries on that front.
