Lol junky we can scrap the carne asada but yes we usually go back down and eat there same place. We can also call ahead of time and reserve those tables for a large group. I will be taking it over helping twanny out this weekend. I haven’t heard much from Neiman yet about the drive but we’ll defintely make it another great time

You guys rock. Hope Neiman will be joining us again as well. Let me know if you guys need assistance with anything.

Is the south group meeting up (was it i-5/164th park and ride?) If so what time? I didn't see anything listed for this. - Never mind, just looked up Ashway park and ride and looks like thats the one im thinking of off 164th.

I've been wanting to do this drive since I bought the car, as my (now ex-) spouse's family is from Sedro-Wooley (and Mt Vernon/Big Lake).

Leaving in 3 hours for the crazy drive over. Stopping somewhere in Nebraska tonight, Twin Falls, ID tomorrow night, then Big Lake, WA Friday night.

Then I get a week off to get to S2KDays in Santa Monica. Suggestions on things to do out there?

Camping under Deception Pass Sunday night. Trip to Port Roberts either Sunday or Monday. I've done all the Seattle stuff multiple times (Needle, Fish Market, ballpark and parks). My plan is just drive the 101 from west of Seattle (ferry over from Anacortes) and just start driving South.

That sounds like an awesome road trip! I won't be able to make the run this year otherwise I would share this in person, but I wanted to share a few routes down the coast that might be of interest (I made the trip for Homecoming 3).

We alternated between the coastal route and I-5 the entire way down. Here's a few of the highlight spots:
  • OR highway 38 - many viewing spots for Elk crossing in the valley
  • US 199 between Grants Pass and Crescent City CA - twisties through redwoods
  • CA highway 299 - very quiet road through national park land (this is where the big fires were in 2015).
If you continue down CA 1, I would recommend stops in Fort Bragg, Big Sur, and anywhere central coast, Cambria and San Luis Obispo areas.

Have a great trip!

Where are you all planning on meeting at My. Baker and when? I'd love to meet up with the group once you are all at Mt. Baker.

We'll meet at Sunset Square, at around 9am, in the morning before proceeding to Baker.
