Belated congratulations to our Canadian club members for their two hockey gold's. It has taken me better than month to get over it, so please excuse the lateness of this message. Hockey has always been a big part of my life having grown up in a big hockey town, Madison, WI. The 1980 US Olympic Miracle team has always dominated my thoughts and I still get misty eyed when I go back and watch the game. I even have the big SI picture hanging in my office at work. I guess I can hold onto that thought until next time when we kick your...... um anyway, Canada certainly deserves to have a gold in this sport, so I guess I am happy for you.
Okay, maybe I am not quite over it yet.

My theory is that men don't cry, unless it has something to do with sports, and only then it is getting "misty". It is perfectly permissible to shed a tear (but not some outright ball fest) in the name of your team. Combine your team and your country together, and it would be outright treasonous not to get chocked up.
Incidentally, after we get done with John Walker, we are going after Janet Jones.....
Unlike baseball where I know my Yankees are going to come back and take it back the next year, I have to stew here for four. Oh well, another Yankee World Series should help to start the healing.

We won two golds??? I must have missed that... Wait a minute, I think the Olympics were on the week that I received my new S2000. Now it is all starting to make sense, my car arrives and I lose three weeks of my life. Time seemed to just disappear...
