Best Driving Roads Near Seattle?

Hello,

For the members who live in the Seattle area, where do you guys go drive to for some nice twisty roads? Looking for good driving roads in the area.

Thank you

Near Seattle? None. Or at least in my experience, I don't enjoy driving with lots of traffic around me. You'll have to drive out a couple hours to get to remote areas where you can really ring the car out. My favorite bits are Highway 542 and Highway 112.

Take a ride over Blewett or Stevens pass. Highway 2 goes into Leavenworth and 16 or 17 S2K's from an Oregon group will be there this coming Saturday around lunch time. They will be staying at the Bavarian Lodge.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Yeah I tried looking for some mountain roads near Seattle but there was none.

Just curious where do you like to bring your S2k for some twisty road driving fun?

Any roads similar to Mulholland highway or Angeles Crest Highway in Los Angeles?

From Kirkland head east about 20min and you end up on Carnation valley/hyw 203 there is a lot of nice roads stem from there from South Fall city Redmond road to North Monroe and can go further NE from there, just depends on how far of a loop you want to go. The trick is being on the east side of Seattle first. I still enjoy a little tootle down on Alki/west Seattle, mercer island and along the waterfront just past the Seattle Arboretum/under the i-90 bridge. There are nice places. Just depends on what your in the mood for.

:hello:

Welcome! There are some nice drives on the east side; like through Snoqualmie, North Bend, Issaquah, I think? Junky took us through some nice twisty roads awhile back! (s2000Junky)

In the south area, some roads near/around Mt. Rainier are fun. :drive:

We should get a handful of us (handful) for a squirt around my neck of the woods for a few hours and do lunch somewhere. Could meet in Issaquah area.

If anyone is interested and enough people for a decent group this weekend/the14th, Id be down to lead a drive, starting in Issaquah, heading north taking the choice roads into downtown Snohomish to my favorite Mexican restaurant "Todo Mexico" which has a nice patio overlooking the river. PM me and will see how much interest I get.:drive:

If not this weekend will try another.

I'd be up for a day trip soon. Can't make it this weekend though, got to take care of a wheel bearing.
